> Our Company History

The company began as a small division of AT&T after software technology was obtained from an outside company in 1993. Through a variety of corporate ownership changes the business was operated as a division of AG Communication Systems Corporation (AGCS), a subsidiary of Lucent Technology (formerly Bell Labs, a wholly owned subsidiary of AT&T). AGCS operated the Company as a division until May 19, 2000 when the employees of JusticeTrax, Inc. decided to acquire and agreed to purchase the business as a stand-alone entity.

Since 1995 the Company’s main product, LIMS-plus®, has gained increasing acceptance among city, county, state and federal law enforcement agencies. The software, designed by forensic scientists, is the most comprehensive case management tool available today. LIMS-plus integrates evidence tracking, analytical results, laboratory management and reports for a comprehensive view of the overall case. Eighty –five (85) forensic laboratories located in the United States, Canada, Middle East and Australia use LIMS-plus software to produce and deliver accurate analysis as quickly as possible. The solution was built for forensic laboratories and is constantly enhanced from the input of thousands of criminalists currently using the application, and our staff made up of computer engineers teamed with forensic experts with years of field experience. With installations ranging from small, single site laboratories of 5 users, to extremely large multi-site installations with 500 + users, we have the honor of serving some of the most sophisticated crime laboratories in North America and Australia.

    HOW WE'RE SAVING THE WORLD:
  • We xeriscape with indigenous desert plants and rocks.
  • We use low-flow fixtures and multi-zone air-conditioning.
  • Our offices are converting to energy efficient lighting as older fixtures need replacement.
  • Hardware is being replaced with energy-star compliant items.
  • JusticeTrax recycles more than 50% of all refuse.
  • We no longer produce paper documentation but instead provide all information electronically.
  • We’re migrating to “paperless” business processes.
  • For the remaining paper we do use, it is at least 30% post consumer recycled content.
  • We reuse packaging materials.
  • We promote telecommuting and ride-sharing.
  • JusticeTrax offsets the majority of carbon emissions generated by our air travel. We plant enough trees within US National Forests to balance 100 tons of CO2 each year.
